Sloth Tour La Fortuna is a family-owned wildlife tour company offering authentic sloth-watching experiences on our private property in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. All tours are guided by certified naturalist experts using high-end optics to help you spot sloths, birds, and other rainforest wildlife in a peaceful, uncrowded environment.

We operate 100% independently and are not affiliated with any other sloth tour companies or reserves. Every tour is managed directly by our team, ensuring a genuine and responsible experience.

Born from a passion for Costa Rica’s biodiversity, our mission is simple: to provide a true, respectful, and unforgettable connection with nature.

Sloth Tour La Fortuna offers an intimate and educational sloth-watching experience on our private trail just 1 km from downtown La Fortuna, near Arenal Volcano. Daniella was a lovely guide and provided plenty of useful information/facts in English and her father was a great spotter. We were lucky enough to see a mother and baby sloth as well as lots of frogs and other interesting creatures, and capture great photos through the telescope lens.

We were even able to start spotting creatures on our own by the end of it! So many great opportunities to see the local wildlife of La Fortuna. The tour was interactive and we saw many different plants and animals. We made our own tortillas and squeezed sugar cane for a drink, both of which were delicious.
